Daijiworld Media Network - Sharjah (SS)

Sharjah, Apr 20: Sharjah City Municipality on Monday announced that all Ramadan tents permits for this year have been suspended as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19. These permits are usually in high demand during the holy month of Ramadan.

In coordination with Sharjah Islamic Affairs, the municipality will suspend issuing permits for the setting up of Iftar tents near the mosques during Ramadan.

Inspection campaigns will be conducted to make sure that no tents are set up illegally. Necessary action will be taken against the violators. The municipality goes on to urge the public to clarify their queries through their call centre on 993.
