Dubai, Apr 21: The Dubai Police have made necessary arrangements for conducting the Ramadan cannon tradition. The cannons have been set up in four different locations across the emirates. These locations are said to be Al Khawaneej, Atlantis the Palm, Burj Khalifa and the praying area in Al Mankhool.

Commander of the artillery shooting team at the general department of protective security and emergency major Abdullah Tarish Al Amimi claimed that four locations are kept ready for the launching of the much-awaited traditional Ramadan cannons.

Amimi stated that the Dubai Police strives to keep the tradition alive as the shooting of cannons reminds people of the time they could end their fasts.

Every year families gather to watch the Ramadan cannons which is indeed a treat to the eyes, but this year, due to the ongoing pandemic and as a precautionary measure, the launching could be viewed only on TV as no one would be allowed to gather at the locations.
