Pass on benefit of crude oil to people: Congress

New Delhi, Apr 21 (IANS): The Congress has demanded that after the crude oil prices hit at the lowest in its history, the government should pass the benefit to consumers and in this difficult times the transporters and farmers could get reprieve as in last 6 years the government has already raised taxes 12 times and has made Rs 20 lakh crore.

"Central excise duty on oil has been increased 12 times in last 6 years that has earned Rs 20 lakh crore. Why has the benefit not been passed on to the consumers? Is the government fulfilling its obligation by not passing on this benefit to the consumers," said Pawan Khera while addressing a press conference.

The Congress said India is the tenth largest oil importer from the US after it was banned from importing oil from Iran. "Why did we refuse to buy oil when the price has fallen so low internationally, while we also have storage capacity."

Crude oil prices went down unexpectedly to a historic low on Monday. Such situation occurred due to non-purchase of crude oil in America, added Khera.

In a historic plunge, the May contract of West Texas Intermediate crude on the NYMEX fell below zero to a record low of -$40.32 per barrel on Monday.

Due to high supplies and lower offtake amid the coronavirus crisis and the worldwide standstill, the US also ran out of storage for the commodity posing a major challenge for the market.

Prices turning negative, is an unprecedented phenomenon in the oil markets as traders paid buyers to lower their stock of oil.

Please read the article once again and comment everyone knows oil prices are down this article talks about WTI oil. Educate yourself in how oil is traded and how countries fix prices for purchase of oil for their domestic consumption.

Every since the COVID19 epidemic hit India, the booted out Cong party has been trying to make it their revival period. Every day there is 'bashing' and 'lashing' at the Govt, Taking credit for already implemented ideas. Calling video conferencing of IOC , Meeting of CM by Cong leaders. All this just to relaunch Raul Vinci as RaGA 2.0. for the 24th time. Its anybody's guess where it it will end , But Good luck.

Since now the govt is approving and implimenting all Rahul Gandhi's ideas now govt should also use EVMs during elections only then we will know the true mandate of the people. Very surprising that such big party with huge capital not a single person to match Rahul Gandhi's intelligence and approving all RaGa's ideas without even blinking.

Implementing RaGas ideas? ARe you serious? Why doesnt he do something for Maharashtra where the situation is critical. It was all in the pipe line to be implemented and he took credit by calling a press conference. Majority of the Indians know and laugh about this. The election results depict this. He was kicked out of Amethi his familys 80 year old bastion for non performance and had to flee down south to win in Wayanad on a certain criteria .' and you talk about his 'ideas' . 'EVM' is the chewing gum given by the Congis to their Chelas to keep on chewing after every every defeat, so the losing candidate can contest again. One defeat can be an EVM not 50 electoral defeats. Come on.

All the ideas adviced by Rahul Gandhi now were rejected by BJP becuase of arrogance and intimidation knowing it would credit the opposition. But now the govt has no other means to move forward but to quietly agree with RaGa with tail between its legs. Best advice to you is to step down admitting your incompetence and let RaGa take charge. He has proved the mettle during challenging times unlike BJP. People of Amethi will come begging for RaGa now realizing his deeds than faking bhashans. BTW, do you dare fighting elections in Wayanad???? You will be devoured into pieces.......

It high time that Government should pass on the benefits to the common people who are now going through difficult time. In particular the desiel prices should be reduced in order make transportation of farmer's products cheaper.

" Whether a Cock would be asked what sambhar would it prefer for it's own curry " ?
    There's a saying ...
" Kombik Isaaranu Saambhaar Karthaat Gee" ?
These people would do well to keep quiet instead of opening their mouth and incurring the wrath of the people at this time and proving indeed that they have run out of issues.

Just to educate you on fuel prices mechanism prevailing in India, they are kept outside the purview of GST and are supposed to be floating with the global crude oil prices, are they? ??
Not sure if 'they' are running out of issues, but you certainly are running out of proverbs in English.

    Running,jogging,allowed with ideas brimming ?
We shall all try to tide over this crisis OK ?
Oil prices, meat, onion we will tackle later along with the proverbs also.
When the whole world is at a stand still only the dumbos talk about benefits and losses.Survive this crisis first.
Try educating Zameer and Co if you happen to be near his vicinity.

If you are smart enough you don't ask Kombo what Sambar it needs. You are higher being than Kombo and decide for yourself than awaiting others approval. After Kombo is not eating it but you.
