COVID-19: 2 new cases, Noida tally reaches 102


Gautam Buddh Nagar, Apr 21 (IANS):Two more cases of coronavirus infections came to light here on Tuesday, taking the total such cases in this district of Uttar Pradesh to 102, officials said.

These two cases were reported from Sector 8 and Sector 19 Block C.

Of the total 102 cases reported till date, 43 patients have since been cured and discharged whereas 59 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.

Three new cases had come to light here on Monday, including a 33-year-old woman from Cherry County Tech Zone 4 in Greater Noida, a 61-year-old woman from Sector 55 Block B, and 52-year-old woman from Block B of Sector 34.

Earlier in the day, the district administration said B Block of Sector 55 was sealed after the positive case was reported.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rajiv Kumar Rai said: "... we have sealed the entire vicinity and the adjoining areas from Monday midnight to May 3 midnight to curb the spread of the infection."

In all, 27 patients are admitted in Sharda Hospital, 15 in Government Institute of Medical Sciences, 14 in Child PGI and three in Delhi hospitals.
