J&K's first Covid WISK set up in Jammu hospital

Jammu, Apr 22 (IANS): To strengthen the Covid-19 testing infrastructure, J&K Industries (JKI) in association with the Health and Medical Education Department has started fabrication and installation of booth-type Standardised Covid WISK (Walk-in Sample Collection Kiosk) at the Gandhi Nagar Hospital, here.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring safety of health workers while collecting Covid-19 infection samples.

The sample collection kiosk, made as per the prescribed guidelines, has been approved by the Health and Medical Education Department.

JKI has been asked to provide such kiosks at places identified by the Health Department to boost the ongoing testing activities and early detection of coronavirus in J&K.
