Abu Dhabi, Apr 23: The city's Department of Municipalities and Transport shall carry out a two-day disinfection programme for all public buses, WAM, the state news agency reported.

Since public buses restart their services from April 25 at 6 am onwards, those measures will help ensure the health and safety of all those who use this means of transport.

A while ago, the Abu Dhabi authorities announced that as UAE is preparing to gradually increase their economic activity, they are considering reopening malls.

On Wednesday, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) said that they shall prepare health and safety guidelines after consulting and discussing with the stakeholders.

In accordance to the government’s plan of increasing economic activity, the department is inspecting options in collaboration with the private sectors, said the Abu Dhabi Media Office.

As of now, the country has 8,238 confirmed cases, 1,546 recoveries and 52 deaths.
