Self driven vehicles distribute PPEs in Sharjah

Sharjah, May 7: The ministry of health in Sharjah has launched vehicle to distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) to people in Sharjah. The vehicle will be self driving and operating.

The ministry of health and prevention (MoHAP) has made an announcement that it would be deploying self-driving vehicles to distribute PPEs to residents and workers of a residential complex. The PPEs would include masks, gloves and sanitizers.

The initiative was taken in collaboration with family health promotion center Sharjah and Huawei. The initiative was a result of the ministry's efforts in containing the spread of coronavirus adapting the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and fifth generation technology (5G).
