Dubai, May 13: The Dubai’s Emirates has announced that passenger flight services would resume to nine destinations from May 21: London Heathrow Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne. However, the services are subjected to government approval.

The service would also offer connections to passengers between UK and Australia.

Passengers would be accepted only if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of the countries they would be travelling. Likewise, residents of UAE wishing to return must get the approval from the Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship (ICA).

Chief operating officer, Adel Al Redha said, "We are pleased to resume scheduled passenger services to these destinations, providing more options for customers to travel from the UAE to these cities, and also between the UK and Australia. We are working closely with the authorities to plan the resumption of operations to additional destinations. We have implemented additional measures at the airport in coordination with the relevant authorities in respect to social distancing and sanitization. The safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and communities, remain our top priority."

All the customers and employees at Dubai airport would undergo thermal screening. Additionally protective barriers installed to provide safety during interaction. Various other precautionary measures would be carried out at the airport to ensure the safety of the passengers.
