Doha : Tulu Koota, Karnataka Sangha Honour Syed Kirmaniby Alexis Castelino - DohaDaijiworld Media Network Doha, Jan 30: Visiting Cricket Star Syed Kirmani was felicitated by Tulu Koota and Karnataka Sangha Qatar during separate occasions on Friday January 29th 2010. Tulukoota Qatar felicitated Syed Kirmani and his family at a get together which was held in the afternoon. Tulukoota President Ravi Shetty welcomed the gathering and spoke about the contributions of the cricket star in the field of cricket. Tulukoota cricket captain Ashmath Ali, throwball captain Shobha Shetty greeted the Kirmani couple with flowers. Divakar Poojary was the host of the programme. Former President Prakash Ajila honored the guests with a memento while Ravi Shetty and Jyothi Shetty felicitated Syed Kirmani and his wife Habiba Syed Kirmani with shawl and garlands.
Speaking on the occasion Kirmani appreciated the hospitality accorded to him by the Indian expatriate community in Qatar and in particular the organizations and assured them of his support in the field of cricket. Janab Syed Abdul Hye the founder member of tulu koota and the president of KMCA narrated a few Urdu Shayaris to highlight the contributions of Syed Kirmani. Sports Secretary Mohan Jappinamogaru proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was attended by Tulukoota members and well-wishers. Later in the evening Karnataka Sangha Qatar executive committee along with volunteers and their family felicitated Syed Kirmani and his wife by hosting a dinner at Doha Club. KSQ President Arun Kumar welcomed the gathering and Sports secretary Deepak Shetty thanked all those who had put in hard efforts towards the grand success of the tournament. To keep up the spirits of everybody Lively and entertaining songs were sung by Milan Arun, Arvind Patil, Akshaya Shetty and Naidu while dances were performed by Sanjith Shetty, Priyanka Shetty,Kalayan shetty and Kris boloor. TheKirmani couple entertained the audience with a enchanting song. The Evening concluded with sumptuous dinner.
