23 including 21 overseas returnees test corona-positive in DK, no new cases in Udupi on Jun 9

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 9: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday June 9, reported 23 new coronavirus cases. No fresh cases were detected in Udupi.

In Dakshina Kannada, among the 23 patients, who are all males, two are Maharashtra returnees, three have come from Dubai and 18 are Saudi returnees. All 23 of them have been admitted to the designated COVID hospital in the district.

With this, the total tally of coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada has risen to 218 (including 10 from other districts), out of which 96 are currently active. As many as 115 patients have recovered and been discharged, and seven have died.

No cases were reported in Udupi on Tuesday.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Udupi district are 946 at present, out of which 641 are currently active, 304 discharged, and one patient has died.
