Abu Dhabi, Jun 20: "UAE is leading the smart education model that is effective for around 1.2 million students of the country without any hurdles," said Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, minister for education.

Hammadi spoke at a regional webinar that was organized by UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in Beirut.

More than 500 participants discussed about the challenges put forth by the different education systems all over the world to keep the distance learning continuous and developing the solutions that are beneficial to the students during the pandemic situation.

Hammadi said, "We have to build on the success which we have achieved in distance learning in order to ensure that quality education is provided to the students and also promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Our ability to address the difficulties faced during the COVID-19 pandemic with regards to developing an effective learning system lies in coping with the situation."

Hammadi also said that the main factors which are responsible for addressing the present situation included effective training and rehabilitation, more flexible and enriched curriculums, effective policies and regulations and advance technological infrastructre.

"Establishing a holistic monitoring and evaluation system with support of huge investments and fruitful partnerships through continuous exchange of expertise and knowledge transfer can be measured as a set of fundamentals for educational outputs," said Hammadi.
