Dubai, Jun 20: To support the daily movement of buses, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it has completed the Al Quoz Bus Depot.

The new depot complements other bus depots at Jebel Ali, Al-Khawaneej, Al Ruwayyah, Al Aweer and Al Qusais and serves bus operations in Dubai in all 24 routes.

The RTA took to its official Twitter account and shared the video of the bus depot. Director general and chairman of the board of executive directors, his excellency Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer could be seen inspecting the operational readiness of the depot as well as employees in different capacities.

Al Tayer briefed the various facilities of the depot. "The construction of this depot complements RTA's efforts to upgrade the infrastructure of mass transport to encourage people to use public transit means in their daily movement. It will also boost the integration of multi-modal transport, reduce the operational cost of buses, and meet the needs of Expo 2020 bus service, which will accordingly ease the mobility of visitors and organisers," Al Tayer said.
