Bengaluru, Jun 22: Pratap Simha Nayak from Beltangady has been elected unopposed in the biennial elections to the Karnataka Legislative Council.
Nayak was among the four candidates nominated by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to contest the biennial elections.
He is also the party's grass root cadre who rose from the ranks to become its Dakshina Kannada district president in the state's coastal region.
