Cong launches virtual campaign, claims Chinese transgression

New Delhi, Jun 26 (IANS): Amid rising political pressure on the Congress over a volley of allegations by the BJP, the Congress social media team launched #SpeakUpForOurJawans campaign online.

"The campaign began at 10 AM, whereby people started posting videos asking the Modi government to answer the above questions," claimed Randeep Singh Surjewala, in-charge of AICC communications department.

The Congress party also observed 'Shaheedon ko Salam Divas' on Friday where it claimed "over two crore fellow Indians as also Congressmen and women joined hands on Twitter and crores of others joined the other social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram etc to pay homage to 20 Indian bravehearts , who were martyred in Galwan Valley of Ladakh."

However, it turned out to be more about asking questions to the Centre and making a political point. Though, Surjewla claimed that the questions were raised by "ordinary men and women", but was similar to those raised about alleged Chinese occupation or Centre's proposal to repulse alleged Chinese transgressions.

"How have the Chinese occupied Patrol Point-14, Galwan Valley, Ladakh, where our 20 jawans were martyred? What action is Modi government taking on the brazen Chinese occupation and ongoing construction of bunkers etc. between Finger-4 and Finger-8 in Pangong Tso area?" the Congress asked in a statement.

This, despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserting India has not ceded a single inch to China.

This social media campaign by the Congress party comes in the wake of BJP citing donations made by the Embassy of China and the Chinese government to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation which was also alleged to have received donations from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

In fact, BJP President JP Nadda lashed out at the Congress saying, "PMNRF, meant to help people in distress, was donating money to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in UPA years. Who sat on the PMNRF board? Smt. Sonia Gandhi. Who chairs RGF? Smt. Sonia Gandhi. Totally reprehensible, disregarding ethics, processes and not bothering about transparency."

But Congress, which ducked answering the serious allegations made against its interim President and the RGF, calling them "diversionary tactics", shot back saying, "The onus lies upon the Modi government to hear the voice of the nation and act."

Hatred for Modi has become hatred for the country. a certain lobby who deem themselves as super intellectuals.. but are actually nonsensical fools.. who keep their personal interests and agenda above the nation and every other citizen of our great nation and propagate a narrative that reflects as if there is huge uprising against the government with respect to the current or intact any other scenario ... where as the actual citizen is no where in such with their narrative.. Power addicts, out of power for two consecutive elections, have turned homicidal traitors, in desperation and their aligning with and sympathy for the enemy army, is reflection of their withdrawal symptoms.

The Congress should be more sharp unless the national integrity of the nation has not address by the ruling BJP government to all the questions and soul our soldiers rest in peace. It has to take the campaign like what BJP did using fake anti-corruption crusade Anna Hazare and his clique did.

It should raise the questions on fuel prices, GST, unemployment, wrong foreign policy, misuse of criminal and terror laws, bank fraud by willful defaulters, crony capitalist lobby, corruption in defense deals, closure of state run companies, abuse against women, communal violence, lynching and so on.

At the same time ask two questions for one question of the BJP. Let Congress provide the proof for every allegations of the ruling party.
