Dubai: 'Music With Meaning' –Conveying Message to Share, Care

Dubai, Feb 20: “Music With Meaning 2010” is a unique concept conveying the message of share and care organized by Melody Makers Music & Fine Arts Centre here.
On Friday February 19, the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium (Indian High School), Dubai was packed with an audience of about 1,500 people who were eager to watch the performances of 250 students in the field of music, singing, dance and drama.
The show kick started at 5.30 pm sharp and began with a mind blowing musical orchestra which featured the teachers and students of Melody Makers displaying their musical talent. The instrumental pieces, songs, dances and drama were perfected through regular practice by students and dedication of parents. The costumes for the various dances were absolutely colourful and a feast for the eyes.
Children as young as five years old to teenagers participated in the concert that kept flowing with precision of time and an excellent sense of rhythm. Every part of the programme was taken care of with minute details in mind and the finale, which was a tribute to Michael Jackson, rendered the message of “Heal the World, Make it a Better Place”. Balloons kept dropping as the children sang and it was indeed a colourful sight and one of those touching moments.
All in all, three cheers the students of Melody makers not only displayed their excellence in music and fine arts, but conveyed an exemplary message “We make a living by what we earn, but we make a life by what we give”. The corporate sponsors of the programme were Ultimate Insurance, Energy Services Group, Hyssna International, Nakheel Travel, McDonalds, Ascana and various other individual sponsors resulted in presentation of a cheque for the amount of Dh 34,000 to Dubai Autism Center.
