Mangalore, Feb 20:
The advocates under Mangalore Bar Association protested in the court premises here on Saturday February 20 against the failure of the police department to trace the allegedly kidnapped advocate Preetham Kumar.

The advocates demanded to trace Kumar, who is suspected to have been kidnapped by some anti-social elements, at the earliest. Kumar is missing since January 24, 2010 from his house near Bajpe here.

Addressing the protesters S P Chengappa, president of Mangalore Bar Association, alleged the police negligence for delay to trace the missing advocate. The police have not evinced interest in the case and are trying to dismiss the incident as a common missing case, he alleged and raised the suspicion of the advocate being kidnapped by anti-social elements backed by political power.

“If the police can show gross negligence over the missing case of an advocate, what will be the situation of a common man?’” he questioned and alleged that the police are acting like dictators when pressed for a serious investigation.

Office -bearers and members of bar association were present at the protest.

What this bar association has done with Naushads killer. Now a case of Preetam kumar. Tommorrow these morale less lawyers shall protect and fight for defense of Naushad's killers and Preetams abductors. No ethics.Only money speaks.... Lawyers are defending the enemies of India who have carried out bomb blasts, killed innocent Indians, attacked India, attacked churches and masjids, beaten up girls in the name of culture, kill in the name of religion. Do these lawyers are really sincere to the oath they have taken before graduating???
