Events like the above will help our young buddies to improve their skills in business administration.
Simultaneously, entry of large industries in Mangalore will create huge opportunity for our MBA candidates. Besides as we live in a global world, students would seek employment anywhere hence need to business skills based on international working environment. There is huge potentiality for Supply Chain and Logistics Management. Some of the management give non-relevant subjects which is not suited to international markets and based on current business trends. I suggest get out of class room and do small project work, presentation skills, group study, case studies which more relevant.
Incorporate also some of the soft skills development training : namely prioritizing, leadership, multi-tasking, able to work under pressure, teamwork, high interpersonal and communication skills make significant benefit for some of the position available in the market.
Emphasis also to be given skills like advanced techniques for work search. Once business management students are out from business schools they are jobless as they are not able market themselves using some the marketing tools: developing high-impact resumes, writing efficient cover letters and choosing references.
