Moodbidri, Feb 26: Former minister K Amarnath Shetty inaugurated the second annual sports meet at Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology (MVSIT) here on Friday February 26.
Speaking on the occasion Shetty said that all the students should take part in sports with sportsman spirit. He lauded the efforts of M V Shetty Trust for having started the new engineering college in a remote village like Thodar.
Dr Ramgopal Shetty presided over the function. He informed that the institution will provide additional facilities for extra-curricular activities.
Principal Dr Sandeep J Nayak welcomed. Robin Fernandes administered the oath to students. PD Shashi Prasad read the annual report. Dr Divyanjali Shetty gave away certificates to the students. Shruthi Hedge proposed the vote of thanks.
Students took out a march past on the occasion. All athletic events were held after inaugural function.
