Rahul slams Modi's 'Atmanirbhar' call, questions priorities

New Delhi, Jul 21 (IANS): Continuing his attack on the Modi government, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday taunted the much-hyped 'Atmanirbhar' (self-reliant) programme of the Centre and called out the "misplaced" priorities given to events since February when COVID cases were just starting which amounted to 11-lakh by July third week.

Gandhi tweeted: "Achievements of government during the Covid-19 period: In February, Namaste Trump (US President Donald Trump's visit to India); in March, Madhya Pradesh government toppled; in April, lighting candles; in May, the sixth anniversary of the government; in June, virtual rally in Bihar and in July attempt to topple the Rajasthan government.

"This is the reason why the nation is self-reliant in the fight against Covid-19." In just five months, India was now the third-worst hit country by the pandemic.

His remarks came amid the crisis in Rajasthan being faced by the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government with rebel from within by his deputy Sachin Pilot, who has refused to back down.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given the call for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) during the lockdown to revive the sagging economy which was badly hit due to the pandemic.

Before 2019 elections, not even one opposition party wanted your buddy rahul to be the PM candidate. The same was with CONgress.
This is not like the year 2004 where the people can be manipulated using the media to get votes. I wonder if the CONgress party will exist when 2024 elections are nearing!

    Bandu,

What you think then?? Modi does all his speeches on his own who can't even know how to pronounce the alphabets. Yes!! he was managing his Facebook page on himself from 10 locations same time... what a joke!! Ask your leader to have common sense first.
I wonder how he managed to own the first digital camera in India while begging, and selling tea?? You might know that.

BTW, is it necessary to actually know English to live in California?

See you should be fluent in the language of your country.
The least the country expects of one forever aspiring to be it's PM.
Remember Trump's ' Vivekamundundun ' for Swami Vivekananda? HE is not expected to get it right.. Doland is a gift in return... Got it?
However when you make an election speech in Mandya, India aspiring to be a PM ... and you do not know how to pronounce the name of one of Indias greatest legends and blabber..
Visesh Vishwesh va raiyyaa aiyaa vishwa rayaa urf Kudlada Viswaa... then it's another matter altogether. This matters...
And what comparison between a World Leader and ordinary Tweeter Hero?
Every utterance, statement of a World Leader has weight behind it... Firget your Streanh..

Chronology of the Modi Sarkar's failure in controlling the Pandemic in India and Modi havinf washed his hands of the Pandemic.

Gehlot has rightly said that the BJP has become a shameless party with no Principles or Ethics. While the country is grappling with a serious Pandemic, the central Govt is busy destabilising opposition ruled state govts with inducements and threats of action by the central enforcement agencies.

This is the Ugly face of Modi's Maan Ki Baat and his innocent pretentions behind TV cameras in his repeated address to the nation. No doubt he has not addressed a Single Press Conference in the last six years so that he need not be confronted with such glaring attempts to drail Democracy in our country and all issues concerning the country and its people.

All those in the BJP who have a Conscience and Love for our country should Resign from the BJP to save our country.

You write" PM of India ".... as if he is not 🤔🤔...
    That's the problem.
Come to terms with reality. Accept that he is your PM.
Then you will be able to see his achievements...
For starters see how he started without anything and reached the TOP post on his own Merit !... If this is not achievement... What is??
On the other hand you have a Dynast supposed to be his opposition ( 🤭)who had everything going for him.. now confined to a twitter room dishing nonsense every day... You call this an achievement?

Dear Bandarkar- Nobody questions about his personal achievements, He did his best for himself and rise to the prime position of the country and that is really appreciable. However, towards country and its people he is failed utterly to deliver the promises made during his election campaigns. As a PM he should have courage to listen criticism and must do a press conference and listen to peoples greivances, and surely not acceptable his MANKI baath
