Mangalore: Kadri Police Arrest Two, Seize Gold Worth Rs 2.7 Lac

Mangalore, Mar 5: Kadri police arrested two persons on charges of robbery and seized gold worth Rs 2.70 lac and a two-wheeler from them on Friday March 5.

The arrested are Nagesh and Kishore, residents of Bantwal. Both were involved in several cases, mainly chain-snatching. They used to snatch jewellery from single women seen walking in sparsely crowded areas.

Police said that both the accused committed offences jointly by traveling on their motorbike. By pretending to seek directions, the duo distracted the women and robbed them. 

Kadri police arrested them near Shivabag following a tip-off and interrogation revealed their involvement in several cases.
