Mangalore: Karnataka Kala Kendra Concert at Sandesha Held

Mangalore, Mar 9: ‘Kaladarshini’, an exposure programme for the budding artistes being trained at Sandesha in the Karnataka Kala Kendra was held at Sandesha Kala Bhavan, recently.

The students, young and old, receiving training in the KKK presented artistic performances in the keyboard, Bharatanatyam, Carnatic vocal, guitars, jazz drums, Hindustani vocal as well as instrumental. The parents and lovers of art, music and dance were enthralled by the professional presentations by the budding trainees.

The students exhibited their musical and artistic talents brilliantly under the direction of their teachers Sr Mary Gracelet, Madhav Bhat, Sandeep Ballal, Matilda Pinto, Alister Moreira, Love Joy and Bappi. The parents expressed their desire to have such quarterly presentations in order to encourage the artistic talent in their children. 

Fr Valerian Mendonca, director of Sandesha welcomed the gathering. Sr Mary Gracelet proposed the vote of thanks. Mallika S Shetty compered the well-appreciated programme. The programme commenced with Sandesha anthem and concluded with National Anthem.
