Mangalore, Mar 17:
‘Bible, Day and Night’, 27 hours of non-stop proclamation of the word of God–New Testament, concluded at Holy Cross parish, Cordel, at 7.30 pm on Tuesday March 16.

It was a landmark event in the 133-year history of Cordel parish. It’s also significant that such a religious programme was held in the Indian regional language of Konkani for the first time ever in the country.

Fr Victor Machado, rector, St Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu, and diocesan vicar general Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu were the chief guests at the concluding ceremony on Tuesday evening.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Machado said that he had served as assistant parish priest of Cordel 40 years ago. He lauded the religious fervour of parishioners in organizing such a great event in the parish.

He hoped that French missionary Frad Saib, the founder of Cordel parish, whose intercessions have been sought by parishioners in difficulties since many decades, gets beatification for the astounding miracles believed to have occurred among parishioners praying at his mausoleum.

Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu said that ‘Bible, Day and Night’, had enriched the spiritual experience of parishioners.

He felicitated all the clergies and deacons who had served at the parish in various capacities in the past.

Fr Lawrence C D’Souza, director, St John’s Medical College, Bangalore, and former parish priest of Cordel parish, appreciated the parishioner’s involvement in this great event.

Cordel parish priest Fr Valerian Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. Parish council vice-president Victor Vaz compered the programme.

TV Daijiworld provided a live webcast of the programme.

Dear Christian friends, the world needs to hear about Jesus, who said " I am the way, the truth
and life". All Christian denominations are man-made, for  various reasons and we need not
have to bring that issue to the readers. Let us all work hard to spread the word of God to everyone
possible. After finding the light, let the reader find their denomination of choice. This is the hour to proclaim the good news of the gospel, because the world is starving for truth.
That is the kingdom message because Jesus came to the world to  proclaim about the " Kingdom of
God", not to establish any particular denomination.

There is a great spiritual movement which was started in Varanasi, and it is called " Christubhakta
movement". People from various religions who are following Jesus Christ without changing their names
or oufit, gather to worship Jesus. "For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" Romans 14:17. That message has to be spread fast
because we are approaching a  great time of unfolding Biblical pre dictions. There is no peace
in the world and the Prince of peace who is Jesus can give peace to everybody who are seeking from
    Him.

The word of God is a living word,
and as we read with meditation,
the words will be alive in our
hearts to keep us in peace and
joy, also keep us from the snare
of the devil. There is no other book
is the world with the biggest
    distribution and is translated into
    more languages than any other
book. The Bible is the best seller all the times. It is the duty of every
    Christian to distribute Bibles to
    to their friends and neighbours.
If we give them, they will read
it one day and will find the great
light and truth of the word of God.
When I was very young, my parents
forced me to read the Bible and to
    memorize the verses. The
Proverbs is the gold mine of
    wisdom and knowledge, and all
the young people need to read it.
" The fear of the Lord is the
    beginning of knowledge: but fools
despise wisdom and instruction" Proverbs 1:7.

Yes I am Joseph. Bible is not changed, now it is available in more than 2167 languages througout the world in whole or part. God wants people to read it. (Psalms 83:18 says people will come to know Gods name is Jah,) Nobody can remove or add one word in the holy scriptures. read Revelation 22: 18 & 19. If anybody does that then Almighty God Jehovah will punish them. We have to pray God the Father (Jehovah only) thru Jesus and nobody else, becoz he gave his life as a ransom for us.

Dear joilet lewis, Katpadi/SharjahI think you are a "Jehovah witness". Can you tell me when they have removed before the canonization or after the canonization? Nobody can deceive in the word of God because the oldest of the olden writings even in papyrus has been preserved in the divine library. The dead sea scrolls back to 50 BC was discovered in the Qumran caves in the year 1947 to 1957 corroborates our faith in the old testament books of Daniel, psalms etc., etc. Hence we pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Nice to know people are getting to know the truth from Gods word.It is the only book which can leads people to gain everlasting life & give answers to lifes various questions. Jesus Glorified his fathers name while he was on this earth and his apostles & disciples everyone glorified Almighty God Jehovah's name.Today millions of people in Christendom do not know who is Jehovah, they know only Jesus.(becoz Jehovahs name is removed from the Bible and they mention LORD everywhere. If you read the preface of the Bible, you can see the difference LORD and Lord, when it is capital letter it refers to Jehovah and small letter lord refers to Jesus. Just imagine ignoring the father and praising only the son, when somebody do this for us how we feel, same way Almighty God Jehovah and his beloved son Jesus will feel. Rom 10:13 Those who call on the name of Jehovah will be saved. So I request All Christians, please glorify Jehovah's name whenever you teach Gods word to people.
