Bengaluru: ‘Firm steps being taken to ban SDPI’ - Minister R Ashok

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Aug 15: Minister R Ashok accused that the political conflict between Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and Congress is the reason for the disturbances that took place at D J Halli and K G Halli of the city. In addition, the minister also said that they have taken a firm step in banning SDPI.

R Ashok said that the rioting occurred due to the political enmity between the MLA and members of the corporation of Pulakeshinagar and accused SDPI of having a direct role in the rioting.

"SDPI activists are involved in 17 cases, including the murder of Hindu activists and involvement in several anti-India activities, since 2008 till date. So we have taken a step ahead in banning the organization. I will also appeal to home minister and chief minister in this regard," said minister Ashok.

The minister further said, "Tanveer Sait, MLA of Narasimharaja constituency of Mysuru, was also assaulted due to the political enmity between Congress and SDPI. Now they have targeted MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy.

"The reason behind the disturbances that occurred at K G Halli and D J Halli of the city is mentioned in the audio said to be sent to Siddaramaiah by former minister Zameer Ahmed. The matter will be investigated in this regard also. As the name of former mayor and current member of corporation Sampathraj is mentioned here, details will be obtained by service notice to him. Who has said that Congress are only responsible for these riots? So there is no need to form a fact finding committee to find out the reason behind the riots. So I congratulate them.

"Congress leaders are saying that the people who lost their lives in the police firing in the recent riots are innocents. What work innocent people have at 12 midnight? Let Congress make it clear whether they are with the victims of the violence or those who perpetrated it?

"An inspection committee is formed by BJP, under the leadership of Chalavadi Narayanaswamy to know the facts of the reason behind the riot. State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel will also do the spot inspection once the curfew is lifted. He will also visit the house of the MLA and instil confidence in the family members.

"The government that is ruling in the state is led by Yediyurappa and not Congress. We know how to handle people who do not respect the law. Congress may be scared that they will lose their votes.

"Home minister Basavaraj Bommai has clearly stated that there is political enmity behind the riots. It is proved that these riots have taken place due to the political indifference between Congress and SDPI as well as keeping in mind the next elections. The role of SDPI in the riots is being investigated. This riot is created with the enmity that developed in the last elections as well as with an eye on the next elections,” he said.

Sixty people, including Kaleem Pasha, husband of Congress member of Nagawara ward Irshad Begum, are arrested in this connection. Now the number of arrested people has risen to 206. The special teams have intensified the investigation and have gathered lots of information. The investigating teams have also unearthed the role of some political leaders including Kaleem Pasha.

The aftermath of the diabolic carnage, in Bangaluru, resembles a bombed city, naned Beirut !!! Politicians invariably use the services of radicalized organizations, to influence voters during elections. This gives netas power, There is an obvious " Quid n Pro " policy shared by these Netas who seek power... The end result is ultimately disastrous for the nation !!! The Congress MLA residence was vandalized, their family threatened, police stations burnt, public property destroyed !!! Dossiers by the state has been forwarded to the Union government, Ultimately, they will have to take the decision to ban the organization....
