Mangaluru, Aug 20: In a shocking incident that occurred on Thursday near KPT in the city, a speeding car ended up in a three-way collision with a lorry and another car. The car was travelling from KPT to Kuntikana and was said to have been going over and above the required speed. 

The over speeding caused the car to ram into the divider, collide with a lorry and another car coming in from another direction. 

One of the cars that were in the accident belonged to Jossy Vincent Pinto who was on his way from zilla panchayath to Pachanady.



The incident has left four people injured - Jossy Vincent Pinto from Pachanady, Mazen Mansoor and Ahmed from Katipalla and the driver of the lorry.

A case in this regard has been registered at the Kadri police station.

    Beautiful roads are been built for safety and comfort of travelers. No point in doing reckless driving and causing damage to other road user's. Even traffic police should change their tactic of stopping the speeding vehicles in blind spots. This is very very dangerous. The day traffic dept. comes corrupt free, that is the day India will progress.

    KPT - kuntikaan Highway is a dangerous spot . Next spot is Pumpwell Flyover. Traffic police have to do something about avoiding accidents in these spots. Mainly accidents happen due to careless and over speeding.

    Very dangerous junction all in a hurry. Some in a hurry to go to the airport, some beach, others office, school and etc. We know building a flyover there would take another 10 years. In the meantime there would be demands to build a flyover at Nanthoor junction that is also a dangerous spot. At least if works start 2041 both the junctions would be free from all traffic problems.

    Not from village side....this happened just near the aj hospital highway ...saw it today..
    Crossing kpt junction. He went in top speed and crashed.
