Kasargod, Aug 21: Two earrings which a woman had lost two decades back in the agricultural fields were found from the same spot now.

This incident happened at Edampoorady within Bedadka gram panchayat limits. A woman identified as Narayani had lost both her earrings 20 years ago when working in the field. Now, Baby, who was working as a coolie under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, working at the same spot, found the earrings.

The ornaments were completely covered by mud. After clearing them, it became clear that they were made of gold. Narayani's daughter, Malini, identified the ornament to be belonging to her mother. The earrings were later handed over to Narayani.

Narayani informed that she had bought the earrings for Rs 4,400 in the year 2000. Its current value is about Rs 40,000.

She must have tied the earrings to her saree while working and the knot may be loosened during work.

Very good analysis. Even, i am surprised at this news. One ear ring can be lost from one ear....how both at the same time ?? Poor employee baby must have got the earrings. Out of honesty and utter surprise must have shown to land owner's daughter. Since, earrings found in their land, claimed that those are her mother's which lost 20 years before...
