Kasargod, Aug 24: Ramshan Sainuddin (20) a resident of Mangad in Thekkil, Kasargod had tested positive for coronavirus infection. Following his positive test result, he was placed in a quarantine facility in Anjarakandy. However, Ramshan managed to escape the facility. It has been noted that this is the second time that the 20-year-old has fled from a quarantine facility. The first time around, he made a run from a quarantine facility in Edakkad, Kannur.

Although he escaped the first time, Edakkad station police personnel succeeded in arresting him. Ramshan was reportedly accused of several thefts including those of vehicles that were present at the quarantine facility. As he escaped, Kasargod circle inspector P Rajesh and his team arrested him near Chemnad Bridge on Wednesday and handed him over to Edakkad station police. He was kept under observation at Anjarakandy Medical College hospital. However, he escaped and fled from the facility Monday morning.

Kannur Chakkarakkal and Kasargod police have begun investigations about him.
