Beltangady, Aug 25: Reportedly, a person accused of posting a inciting post in social media before absconding, was arrested by the police on Monday August 24.

The arrested accused happens to be Raghuramu Shetty from Barya Puthila village. On getting reliable information about the accused having taken shelter in the residence of a relative at Puthla, Beltangady police circle inspector Sandesh P G, went there along with the policemen, arrested the accused and produced him in the court.

A complaint had been filed in Punjalkatte police station, charging Raghuramu Shetty for violating the code of conduct and bursting crackers on August 5 on the occasion of Bhumi Puja of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Later, he reportedly had posted on WhatsApp, claiming that no one can harm him, and expressing the view that another community should be destroyed with bombs.

About this message, Jaleel from Karlpady had filed a complaint at Punjalkatte police station.
