Mangaluru: 61st Claud Nite - Virtual concert on Daijiworld TV on Sep 8

Mangaluru, Aug 31: After a six-month break on musical nites in Konkani world, senior singer, musician and writer Claud D’Souza has come up with a virtual nite named ‘61st Virtual Claud Nite’ on September 8 on the Feast of the Nativity of Mary which is celebrated by Catholics in coastal Karnataka as a family feast.

The ‘Virtual Claud Nite’ will be exclusively telecasted on Daijiworld TV and its YouTube channel. The show will start at 8 pm.

Well-known singers namely Ivan Sequiera, Joel, Kiran, Asha, Zeena Pereira, Shalon and Vivina will join Claud in rendering both new and old compositions. Joswin Pinto will lead and direct the music team containing noted musicians namely Sanjay Rodrigues, Ashith Pinto, Varun Rao, Deon and Suresh.

Leslie Rego and Walter Nandalike will host the show in their inimitable style with timely punches and humorous interaction. The comedy part will be handled by veteran comedian Dolla Mangaluru. Christy of Chris Electronics will provide sounds and lightings for this unique virtual musical nite.

Claud D'Souza is an acclaimed singer, composer and actor. He has fifteen musical CDs to his credit and has written over thirty five Konkani plays which include social, religious and historical. Claud's musical nites have been staged all over including distant places like Mumbai, Bengaluru, the Middle East states and distant Canada on more than one occasion.
