Kasargod, Sep 2: DC Dr Sajith Babu has clarified that neither pass nor registration is required for people travelling from Kasargod to Karnataka or other states for jobs. He was speaking after presiding over an online meeting of the coronavirus advisory committee on Wednesday.

“There are no restrictions for those who have registered on COVID Jagratha portal to travel via NH66 and other roads vacated for travel. People staying in Karnataka and travelling to Kasargod on a daily basis should undergo Antigen tests once in 21 days and register in COVID Jagratha portal. They can also travel to Karnataka via Talapady, Jalsoor, Perla, Panathur, Manimoole and Bandadka road also. There will be no obstructions for vehicles on those roads other than goods vehicles,” he said.

"Quarantine for 14 days is inevitable as per orders from the union health ministry and ICMR. Further action about Unlock 4 will be announced by the centre after obtaining the orders from the state government. People going to Karnataka and returning within 24 hours do not need quarantine. People living on gram panchayat limits on the border can travel by producing identity cards. A decision on the measures to prevent coronavirus will be taken after discussions with elected representatives from Kerala and Karnataka,” assured the DC.

DSP D Shilpa, additional DC N Devidas, district medical officer A V Ramadas, DSP Balakrishnan Nayar P and advisory committee members were present.

    Dear DC sir,

We are facing more problem because of these restrictions now than corona. Least bothered about corona. People should take care of themselves now. Please open up all borders, remove all restrictions.

Why quarantine not needed for people returning within 24 hours?!

Does corona knows that this person returned within 24 hours and doesn't attack such people? Please open up all roads, without restriction. We are facing big problem because of these than corona, humble request to DC. We are heavily dependent on Manglore and Karnataka.
