Bengaluru, Sep 2: The BJP government in the state had re-allocated Rs 60 crore given as grant by the previous coalition government headed by H D Kumaraswamy to 39 Maths. The government has decided to release Rs 1 crore each to 39 Maths this time too.

An official in the muzrai department said that the Maths are facing a financial crisis on account of coronavirus issues. As such, it has been decided to release grants to all the Maths for which the previous government had announced grants, he added. "The government is facing a financial crunch. Therefore, for releasing grants tor any projects or programmes, clearance from the finance department is mandatory. Therefore, we have submitted a proposal to the finance department," he explained.

In the 2020-2021 budget, Rs 30 crore was earmarked for providing grants to Maths. But the amount was not specified to individual Maths. Out of this, Rs 1 crore has already been given to Sri Raghavendra Swamy Math in Udugani village, Shikaripur taluk, Shivamogga district.

Muzrai minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary, expects the finance department to give its nod for releasing funds to 39 Maths at the rate of Rs 1 crore each within a couple of days.

Just wait . . . it will fall into your open mouth!

Why don't you go and plough the agricultural land that is lying barren and cultivate something instead of muttering "we need jobs" when the topic is on temples!!

I can give this Ramesh, a good job. Let him work for all the landlords who lost lands in Land Reforms Act. After getting that done, A part of land can be given out of the redeemed land. There are many like him who have got free land in other party rule. Nicely fed child cries for more milk. Ramesh strikes similarity here.
