Dubai: Worker slits employer’s throat after refused leave to return home

Dubai, Sep 06: A Kyrgyzstan national has been accused of murder by cutting the throat of his employer after the latter had refused leave to return to his country.

The accused was working at a garage in Al Quoz Industrial area, when he had an argument with his manager before slitting his throat with a sharp knife and then smashing his head with a hammer.

The incident took place in June, and he was arrested the day after the incident near Kyrgyzstan consulate.
As per police “The workers in the garage claimed that they had left the garage for 20 minutes and returned to see the victim dead. They suspected the defendant because he was the last person to be seen with the defendant and went missing thereafter.”

After the incident, Kyrgyzstan national tried to flee Dubai but there were no flights. According to official records, Dubai Police arrested him outside the consulate.

The Dubai Court of First Instance is hearing the case.
