Mangalore, Mar 31: A release from the Canara Bus Owners' Association has said that with effect from April 1, the service bus fares in the twin-districts will go up by a small percentage. It said that this is in tune with the permissions given by the Road Transport Authority of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on October 15, 2008.

These rates had been approved the last time the bus owners had approached the RTA for price hike, the release explained.

The fares from the city to Udupi will go up from Rs 36 to Rs 38, and from Udupi to Kundapur, from Rs 25 to 27, it is learnt.
