Kasargod: Two-month-old baby killed, nine injured in accident at Arikkady

Kasargod, Sep 7: After two cars collided with each other at Kumble Arikkady on national highway 66 on the night of Sunday September 6, a two-month-old baby lost its life while nine others suffered injuries of varying degrees.

The victim of the accident was a child of Moosa-Afsa couple from Pachambala Kalpare. Six injured persons were admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru while the remaining three were admitted into the Kumble hospital. The condition of two of the injured is said to be serious.

The accident took place when a car coming from the direction of Uppala hit another car that was moving towards Bandyodu.

    Totally Agree!! Its High time Govt of India makes Car seats for children mandatory. Children should only be in the rear, buckled in an age appropriate child car seat. State and Central govts should introduce awareness programs on this regard. RIP little angel...
