Udupi, Sep 11: Udupi is known for its grand celebration of Sri Krishna Janmastami festival and people wait eagerly for this day. People from various parts of the country, even foreigners, visit Udupi during the festival. However, the grand celebration of Krishna Janmastami will be held on September 10 and 11 in Udupi according to the solar calendar.
This year due to the Covid-19 restrictions, only traditional rituals will be performed everywhere.
As tradition, most of the parents love to see their children as Lord Sri Krishna and enjoy dressing up like Him. People believe that a child is like the manifestation of little Krishna or the Lord Himself. People like His mischievous behaviour, causing trouble and yet he makes everyone around him happy with His childish and cute acts. Hence, parents always wish to see their child like baby Krishna.
Kishoo Enterprises and Daijiworld Udupi are proud to organise ‘Tinton presents Chelva Krishna Photography Contest’ for children between 0 to 2 years and 2 to 5 years for the third time on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmastami. It has attracted a large number of participants since the last two years. The specialty of this year is that the competition will be held in two categories.
Rules
- Competitions will be held in two categories. 0-2 years and above 2 to 5 years.
- Last date to send entries is Tuesday September 15, 2020.
- Photos will not be accepted after the deadline.
- Photographs taken in three different angles must be sent.
- Birth certificate must be attached along with the entries.
- Photos with watermarks and manipulated elements will be rejected.
- Size of the image should be 5*7 inches (625 x 875 in pixels).
- While sending the entries, child name, parents’ name, address, and contact number should be mentioned clearly.
- The decision of the judges will be final.

In both categories, Rs 3,333, Rs 2,222 and Rs 1,111 will be awarded as the first, second and third prizes respectively along with certificates and mementos. Also three consolations prizes will be given in both the categories.
The contest is presented by well-known resort and water park ‘Tinton’ Kundapur, powered by Divinity Solar, Karkala, and supported by Prabhu Enterprises, Santhekatte, S V Sports Center, Hiriyadka.
