Bengaluru: CM honours award winning teachers including Yakub from Beltangady

Bengaluru, Sep 11: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Friday inaugurated the Teachers’ Day celebrations jointly organized by the Department of Public Education and Samagra Shikshana Karnataka to mark the birthday of former President Dr S Sarvepally Radhakrishnan.

He also honoured the best teachers selected by the State Education Department.

The three award winning teachers are S Yakub from Beltangady in Dakshina Kannada, Surekha Jagannath from Kalaburagi and Chemmalar Shanmugam from Bengaluru.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar and Education Reforms Advisor as well the founder of the PES Educational Institutions were present at the function.
