Udupi: Valedictory Function of Golden Jubilee Celebration at PPC on Apr 10

Udupi, Apr 6:
The valedictory function of the golden jubilee celebrations of the city-based Poornaprajna College (PPC) will be held on Saturday April 10 morning, at the College auditorium.
 
Lokayukta, Justice N Santhosh Hegde, will inaugurate the golden jubilee memorial indoor stadium, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 60 lac. 


Sri Vishwapriyateertha Swamiji, chairman of Adamar Mutt Education Trust, will preside over the programme.
 
Paryaya Sri Laxmivarateertha Swamiji of Sri Krishna Mutt and Sri Vishweshateerta Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt will grace the occasion.
 
State home minister, Dr V S Acharya, will release the centenary bulletin.
 
Rajya Sabha member and union ministry of human resources development’s parliamentary committee chairman, Oscar Fernandes, MLAs, Raghupati Bhat and Lalaji R Mendon and municipal president, Dinakar Shetty, will be the chief guests of the function.
 
‘Sita Kalyana’, a dance recital based on Mandara Ramayana will be staged by the girl students of the college, after the stage programme at 2.00 pm. The dance recital has been directed by Udyavar Madhav Acharya and Vidushi Laxmi Gururaj.  Chandrashekhar Kedlaya has directed the music. Magician, junior Shankar, will present a magic show, followed by ‘Veera Abimanyu’ Yakshagana episode, to be staged by the college students as part of the cultural programmes. 
 
PPC principal, Prof Raj Mohan, Prof Raghavendra, Dr Jagdish Shetty, Dr G S Chandrashekar and Dr Srikanth Rao were present at the press meet held on Tuesday April 6, where the above details were provided..
