1,104 test positive, J&K COVID total crosses 68,000


Srinagar, Sep 24 (IANS): Jammu & Kashmir saw 1,104 people testing Covid positive on Thursday as the total number of people infected with COVID-19 crossed 68,000 in the Union territory.

A statement issued by the information and public relations department said 1,104 people tested positive - 624 in Jammu division and 480 in Kashmir division - as the total number of people infected with coronavirus reached 68,614 in J&K.

22 patients died on Thursday, 14 from Jammu division and 8 from Kashmir division. So far, 1,084 people have died in J&K due to the dreaded virus while 48,079 have recovered completely.

The number of active cases is now 19,451 out of which 11,194 are from Jammu division and 8,257 are from Kashmir division.
