Dubai: InfraRed Presents 'May King' and 'May Queen' on May 6

Dubai, Apr 18: InfraRed Events, a Dubai based event management company will host May Ball at Astoria Hotel here on May 6 from 8.30 pm onwards.
The main attraction of the May Ball is the crowning of the May King and May Queen, who will be judged by a panel of judges on a fixed criteria. The crowned king and queen will win return air tickets (courtesy AIR ARABIA). They will be given a choice to select one destination out of five countries.
The show will feature bands formed by Goans in Dubai called 'Sixth Sense' and 'Black Lace' besides Lady DJ Kim (the only female Indian DJ from Goa to be the finalist at Palme DJ of the year 2010 in the whole of Middle East).
A lot of prizes and surprises too are lined up. While their mama and papa are having a dance, to keep the children occupied we have a magician, face painter and balloon artist showing his tricks.
The tickets are priced at AED 100 per head for adults and AED 50 per head for kids inclusive of buffet. Entry is free for kids below the age of 5 years.
InfraRed Events, The organizers of the May Ball is a group of individuals with extensive experience in the field of sound and light design, event planning, music and live performances, hosting and Djing. Besides event management InfraRed also does rentals of professional sound and light equipment besides offering wedding packages for Christian weddings in Dubai. The company is led by two Goans, Ringo Star and Kim Fernandes.
The duo picked up the strings from popular band Romantics and later moved on to Dubai to set up an own event management company. InfraRed is now more focused on event and entertainment in Dubai and the Gulf which is primarily Goa-centric. "It's a unique feeling to entertain so many Goans, Mangloreans and East Indians, on the whole Indians,” says Ringo. After successful shows at Christmas and Valentine’s Day among others Ringo hopes to keep the ball rolling with the May Ball every year.
