Mangalore: It is Official – New Airport Terminal to be Thrown Open on May 15

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, May 6: The earlier reports about the inaugural of the new airport terminals in the city and Mysore on May 15, were confirmed by the state Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, on Wednesday May 5. He said, that the issue of opening these two terminals for serving the public was discussed with the union minister for aviation, Praful Patel, and that the latter had agreed to inaugurate both these terminals on May 15.

“As on date, no regular flights operate from Mysore airport. We expect airlines to come forward to operate flights from here shortly,” he hoped. Yeddyurappa also disclosed that during the visit of the secretary in the department of civil aviation in the central government, he had requested the latter to start operating flights from Belgaum and Bidar airports, and got a positive response from him to this request. He also revealed that the works relating to the construction of airports in Shimoga and Gulbarga would begin during this month.

I know Srinivasa Mallya never spoke very smoothly and smiled ear to ear, and did absolutely nothing, thinking all people are fools, they will vote for them no matter what they do or dont do....

Srinivasa Mallya never got "Honarary doctorate in Social Service" from any university because he never falsly pretended as "Vidhvan"........

Well Said Mr Rao. Nobody can take the true fact about MP Srinivas Mallya's acheivement. Lot of youngr generation donot even know that Mr Mallya was a MP.List it NMPT, KREC, NH 17 with 4 bridges, Mangalore Airport . All this was acheived by this humble soul with the help of the Tajmahal halwa as a gift.IF not for him we would have lost NMPT to tamilnadu. He died a ordinary man , not with riches and false media hyped accolades.I bowe and Salute this True Gandhian.

We have been hearing about the inauguration of The Mangalore Airport for the past several months. It has always been a hitch at the last minute. Naturally Mangalore Citizens do not take these announcements seriously. Anyway let us keep our fingers crossed and hope that The New Airport will not be a myth.

I fully agree with Mr. Sathish Kunder.
Mr.Venu dont forget that when there was Cong rule there were hardly two hours of load shedding per day, Moreover at the time of S.M.Krishnas regime there were severe draught. One question to u why did BJP oppose the nuclear deal?, now Yeddy cannot even ask MMS to have a nuclear plant in Karnataka. If BJP is not efficient enough to run the govt why the hell it is blaming previous govt.

In olden days people use to say, uneducated people are paid money to vote for a particular party and so they vote, with a blind belief, but looking at the usual comments of Mr. Nagesh Nayak, it looks like even eucated people fall prey to such thing, what achievements he's talking about this govt. run by a CRYING CHIEF MINISTER, and a LAZY Home Minister, communal Violence, rapes by minister, Reddy brother, looting the state wealth and the CM, is helpless, Bomb blast in Bangalore, with useless police force, with such a high profile match shifted out of the state, the preistge of the state at stake, if it was any other party in power the BJP would have called for its ouster, Airport is the Centers issue, the state has not done anything, as Mr. Edward has rightly said, its a nightmare to travel from Udupi/Mangalore, the roads the worst in the world and what achievement is this learned man talking about?

Nagesh Nayak....Let BJP do not take any credit for the new airport which was possible because of Central government and the great effort by leaders like Janardhana Poojary, Veerappa Moily and others.

Now Passport Office is going to come in Mangalore and also many projects in Railways.

So this is not Yedyurappa's work. His work is mainly related to declaring crores of rupees to Temples and Mutts. He has totally forgotten common people of Karnataka.
