Kuwait : 'May Fete' Witnesses Huge Response

Kuwait, May 8: The first ever ‘May Fete’ that was well-organized by St Daniel Comboni parish in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for strengthening the finances of the parish, was inaugurated by parish priest, Fr Albert Saveriraj, at 1.00 pm on Friday May 7. The event was held at the Indian Central School premises, and went on till 8.00 pm.
The fete consisted of the display of a variety of food items prepared by the Manglorean, Goan, Kerala Syro Malabar, Syro Malankara, Latin and Tamil communities, besides various fun games and cultural programmes. Bishop, Camillo Ballin, was present during the evening stage programme. He also delivered a message to the gathering. Incidentally, the 19th anniversary of the ordination of the parish priest, Fr Albert Saveriraj, fell on the same day. This occasion was celebrated by cutting a cake.
The response for the fete was much more than expected. All the parishioners and well wishers extended whole-hearted support for the cause. Raffle draw was held and prizes were handed over to the winners. The stage programme was compered by Sunny, Ronnie Fernandes and Babuji.
