Tumakuru: Over 65 bikes gutted after fire erupts at Honda showroom

Tumakuru, Nov 15: Over 65 bikes were reduced to ashes in a fire mishap that occurred at a Honda showroom here in the early hours of Sunday November 15.

The incident occurred around 1.30 am at the showroom located on BH Road here.

A shop selling fire crackers located right next to the Honda showroom caused concerns of an explosion. However, fire service personnel, who reported to the spot immediately brought the fire under control and prevented further damage.

It is learnt that over 65 bikes, computers and furniture were gutted in fire. The total loss is estimated at Rs 2.5 crore, sources said.

It is learnt that puja had taken place in the showroom till 10 pm of Saturday on account of Diwali. The exact reason for the cause of fire is not yet known.
