SC Allows Reddy Brothers to Resume Mining

New Delhi, May 10 (IANS) The Supreme Court Monday permitted magnates Reddy brothers to resume mining in Andhra Pradesh's Obulapurum on the condition that it would only be in undisputed areas.

The court had last week reserved orders on the plea of the Reddy brothers of Bellary to allow them iron ore mining in Obulapuram on the Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka border.

The three Reddy brothers -- Gali Karunakar Reddy, Gali Janardhan Reddy and Gali Soma Shekhar Reddy -- are mining barons of Bellary, India's richest mining town, and are considered politically influential.

They own the Obulapuram Mining Company, which is engaged in mining and transportation of iron ore in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.

    Nagesh Nayak Bangalore,

yourself just check two days back my comments on Mr Tiwari who supposed to be come under DNA test. His case still going on.He is @90 just imagine and he did not rape any human being.

You should be ashamed calling HALAPPAJI and supporting for the sake of Party. You know your party's graph gone down drastically after the statement of CM and your party president.

I support all parties on it's value based programmes. But where as you never utter a word when Halappa got trapped in Sexual terrorism. You know Nityananda Swami better than Halappa because he did not raped Ranjitha and he is not a public servent/people's rep/minister.

You are doing more harm than good to the image of your party.FYI RSS summoned CM and convyed it's displeasure asked to take action against Halappa.Congress did not tell Tiwari as SATVIK niether innocent.Be matured yourself this is 20th century and people will always watching you people in every angle.

    RAJESH MANGALORE,
YOU REALLY ARE HALF BAKED POTATO AND IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME FOR POTATO FRY!BEAR WITH ME.

It's a clear slap on indian judicial system. As for as this verdict is concerned, one doesnt need supreme court to decision to evaluate these so called brothers. People of this country are clever enough to know the truth.

We need total ban on mining due to enviromental reason. All these mines are shipped to forign country for the plattery price! It is not a matter between HD Gowda and Reddy familybut it is serious matter between 6 crores citizens of Karnataka sans BJP chelas!!

Nagesh Mamu surfacing when BJP scores some points in any day todays happennings which favors BJP.Honorable Suprime Court's stand is clear that OMC encroched Karnataka's Nela and if have little morality left in BJP,CM,better quit as did by Rama Krshna Heggade of then Janatha Dal govt over phone taping episode. nagesh nayaK, bangalore, read the judgement carefully. The Supreme Court Monday permitted magnates Reddy brothers to resume mining in Andhra Pradesh's Obulapurum on the condition that it would only be in undisputed areas. The apex court, however, clarified that mining by OMC should be carried out only in the undisputed area of the lease granted by the Karnataka government and would have to be stopped if the Survey of India says so. The SC has been told OMC that it can get back to work, but not within 150 meters of the Karnataka border.

nagesh nayaK, Devegowda raised the voice for unauthorised mining by Reddy Brothers & mining in disputed 150 metres of the Karnataka Andhra border.

Forget BJP leaders Can you tell these Reddy Brothers by doing Mining Business what they are doing for the benefit of the people & country??. And about NICE Yeddy himself now agreed that government granted excess land to NICE Company, earlier he was denied that!!!.

Supreme Court permission to Reddy Brothers to resume mining business is vindication of their stand on the issue contrary to their political rivals effort to stall the activity.Inspite of anti campaign by the vested interests/political rivals they have maintained their cool.It is pertinent to note that Reddy Bros have made money by legitimate mining business and NOT by virtue of their being in political field like OTHERS.Now at least their opponents should keep their mouth shut.Jai ho Reddy Brothers....

Jai Ho, Bellary Mining Lords. They must have convinced even the Supreme Court judges. So, now let everybody forget about illegal mining & let the Reddys continue with their mining activities & exports. Who is bothered about Bellary roads or other national highways, especially those leading to Mangalore like Shirady, Charmady & Sampaje Ghats, which cater to mining/granite trucks & oil tankers! Jai Ho.

Very good decision by the Supreme court, now the Reddy's can openly plunder the wealth of the State, who's going to stop them. I think all these people are either blind or just stupid or collabrating with the Reddy brother's. I don't think god can also save us from this destruction.
