Nitish Kumar takes oath as Bihar chief minister for fourth time

Patna, Nov 16 (IANS): Nitish Kumar was on Monday sworn in as Chief Minister of Bihar for his fourth successive term.

Governor Phagu Chauhan administered the oath to Kumar at the ceremony at Raj Bhavan.

The National Democratic Alliance secured a majority in the October-November Assembly elections, winning 125 seats in the 243-member house.

However, Nitish Kumar saw his Janata Dal-United's share slip to 43, while the BJP won 74 seats. Two smaller parties won eight seats.

    Certainly incredible, that Veteran Nitish Kumar, has managed to be sworn in as CM of Bihar...The Mahaghatbandan is in tatters, with RJD, lambasting the ailing grand old Congress party of bringing down their chances of winning the election. The INC now appears to be the " Pariah " an outcast, in the political landscape of our nation...

    This is very baffling and unbecoming when exit polls were predicting overwhelming majority for Tejaswi but all of a sudden poll count results were totally different. Nitish Kumar himself was not sure about the victory but was sure of stirring something behind closed doors. It's only possible through malpractice by known poll manipulator party. This is definitely not people's mandate.

    when exit poll gave clear majority Modi for 2nd term u said exit poll can not be believed.
    when exit poll said both seats in bypoll election in karnataka will win by BJP DJKS and siddu said exit poll can not be believed
    ehen exit poll gave clear majority to BJP in karnataka 2018 u and ur leader said exit poll can not be believed
    when exit poll said kejri will win election in Dehli u said congress will come to power
    now even congress RJD leader saying congress is culprit to loose election
