Kasargod: Rahul Gandhi Slams CPI-M for its 'politics of violence'

Pics by Achu Kasaragod

Kasargod, May 10 (PTI) : Taking on the CPI-M in its bastion, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today slammed it for indulging in "politics of violence" and asked Youth Congress workers not to get provoked by it ahead of civic and Assembly elections in the state.

"The CPI-M should end its politics of violence and Youth Congress workers should not get provoked by attempts by that party at a time when elections to civic bodies and the state Assembly are drawing closer," he said.

Interacting with YC workers from four northern districts, he said there would be attempts by CPI-M to provoke and create violence but Youth Congress activists should not fall in the trap.

CPI-M was trying was to impose things found in "pages of old books", he said, seeking to convey that its ideology was out of sync with the changing times.

This Rahul's gimmick everyone knows. He is not a natural leader. Congress followers made him like that because they all know that by praising him (chamchagiri), they can gain personally. And they all very well know that without Gandhi family Congress will crash. This Rahul some time back tried to gain popularity by visiting some village and carrying mud over his head. India do not need such people. We need leaders not cooli's. With this kind of giimicks his intention is to get some sympathy from uneducated people (this is why Congress want the people to remain uneducated). If he is really a good leader, he must show his true leadership qualities not the drama.

Nagesh Maamoo ,read below for BJP`s Austerity.

"The BJP's attempt at an austerity drive has backfired, the top leaders will live in more expensive tents than 5star hotel rooms.

Austerity - Nitin Gadkari's first step forward is two steops back. On the Agra-Mumbai highway in Indore, a sprawling city in canvas will be home to 5000 BJP leaders, for a 3day conclave.

The RSS complained that the 5star-culture was hurting the BJP's image. So, Gadkari ordered a conclave in tents.

But the austerity plan got lost on the drawing board. The organisers are spending more than it would have cost in hotels. 1700 tents erected.

The BJP's top guns will live in 25 luxury tents, these tents are 1BHK with a dining room, a room for secretarial staff and a plush bath space.

To keep them wired with the outside world - laptops, Wifi and plasma TVs come with the tent.

Meanwhile, the 5000odd delegates will live in 1200tents - each tent will have 4leaders.

Makeshift arrangements mean spending more on security too. A larger police force to man the 90 acres area - 24/7.
A helipad is ready to tackle an emergency. 1600 CCTV cameras will keep vigil 24x7. Then to ensure mobility in the 90 acre township, battery operated carts for leaders have been organised.

More money for water, electricity, sewage and garbage disposal infrastructure. Mosquito repellents, emergency lights, tented hospital, a big kitchen, 3 different dining halls mean greater expenditure - all in name of Auserity"

Given a free hand, they will turn out to be a far more violent force than Bajrang Dal or any senas combined and mind you, they do not attack with sticks and stones like the way Bajrangis or Sena's do. On several occasion i have seen visually disturbing footage (thanks to my friend who works for a leading national newspaper) where in the CPM activists have killed and severed the heads of the BJP & Congress party acvtivists.

I am sure you might not utter a word of praise for CPM, once you see those pics.

What a rubbish, shameless amd meaningless comment by Nagesh Nayak.  I would say that all political parties in India are not here to serve the people but only to meet their selfish needs. Political Parties in India has become a family fiefdom. WE call ourselves the largest democracy in the world. I would say our Democracy is confined only during election time and after that for next 5 years the state and centre power is misused. It is enough for a person to become a One time elected leader to enjoy power for 5 years to become rich and then enjoy benefits (Pension) for life time to the tax we pay. All political parties have involved in violence and it is not just CPI (M). The sufferer is the common and poor man. It is time we bring the best leaders to the parties than the current leaders we have. Whether this will only be a dream or reality "God only knows".
