Doha, May 10: Mangalore Cultural Association (MCA), Doha, Qatar, has announced the details of the auditions being held for Gulf Voice of Mangalore - 2010 (GVM) in Qatar.

The preliminary auditions will be held on Friday June 11, 2010, at the Asoka Hall of India Cultural Centre, Doha, Qatar, at 4.30 pm.

This competition is open to singers of Mangalore origin residing in Qatar, who were born on or before October 15, 1992. Visit visa holders are not entitled for the competition, MCA said.

The association has requested those conforming to the above conditions and interested in participating in GVM, to send in their entries to mcaqatar@gmail.com with their full name, postal address in Qatar, date of birth and contact details.

Rules and regulations for the competition are as announced by the main organizers in www.daijiworld.com, MCA added.
 
12 singers (six male + six female) will be selected by a local preliminary judging panel for the semifinals.

Semifinals will be held in Doha on October 1, 2010 at Doha Cinema.

MCA has asked the willing candidates to register themselves for this reality show at the earliest, as they could be the ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore’ and be eligible to receive Rs 1,00,000 as prize money.
