Moodbidri: Four including 20-year-old girl meet watery grave in Shambavi river

Moodbidri, Nov 24: In a tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday, November 24, four people lost their lives by drowning in Shambavi river near Kadandale in Paladka gram panchayat limits. The concerned had come to the house of Kadandale Sridhar Acharya for a wedding programme

The deceased have been identified as Nikhil (18) Harshitha (20) both from Moodushedde, Subhash (19) from Venur and Ravi (30) from Bajpe Perar.

The victims had been to the river for a swim. However, in an unfortunate incident were killed due to drowning.

The authorities have recovered two bodies, while a search operation is on for the other two bodies.

The Moodbidri police arrived at the spot to conduct investigations and divers have been assigned with the task of recovering the other bodies.
