Mangalore: CM Visits Human Resource Development Centre at the city

Mangalore, May 16: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa visited the Human Resource Development Centre at the city corporation office premises on Saturday May 15.

The CM, accompanied by the district-in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar and Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraj Shetty were briefed about the functioning of the centre.

Brief report on the working of the centre to the CM was given by the Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation executive director Dr Vishnukanth S Chatapalli.

It is the first human resource centre in the state. In six months 5,000 job seekers have registered. 1,400 of them have been interviewed and 242 have got the job.

Similar kinds of centres are all set to open in Bijapur. Gulburga, Bellary, Kolar, Bangalore, Mysore and Mandya shortly, informed Chatapalli.

MP Nalin Kumar Katil, MLA N Yogish Bhat, Capt Ganesh Karnik, Janardhan Reddy and mayor Rajani Dugganna among other prominent leaders were present on the occasion.
