Mangalore, May 17: The XII General Chapter of the Ursuline Franciscan Congregation is being held at their Generalate ‘Somarpann’, Deralakatte, recently.








There are 39 delegates from India, Europe, and Africa. The theme of the Chapter is ‘Towards Redefining the Identity, Charisma, and Mission of the Ursuline Franciscan Sisters in the Context of Today’ The Chapter was preceded by a retreat guided by Fr Rex Pai.
 
During the Chapter, elections for the superior general and councillors were held and Sr
Doreen D’Souza was re-elected superior general.

Sr Lily Fernandes – II Councillor General
Sr Jeraldine D’Souza- III Councillor General

    I have known Sister Doreen for several years and I am indeed impressed with her simplicity of heart and mind. I am glad that she is re-elected as The Superior General of Ursuline Franciscan order.
