Udupi: ‘D K Shivakumar's game will not work in coastal region’ - MP Shobha Karandlaje

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Nov 30: Reacting sternly at the statement of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president D K Shivakumar whether Hindu religion is the property of BJP, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandalaje said, "It is true that BJP has adopted coastal Karnataka. The coastal districts are ours. All the five MLAs of Udupi district are of BJP. We will adopt this region as well as develop it. People of coastal region have taught a fitting lesson to Congress for their anti-people policies. D K Shivakumar's game will not work in the coastal region.

"We are not doing politics in the name of God. We are always with God. D K Shivakumar visits temples only when elections are nearing. Rahul Gandhi visits Manas Sarovar, Kedar and Kailas when elections approach. Rest of the time he goes to church. This is their policy."

Responding to the matter of suicide attempt of N R Santhosh, political secretary of chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa and Shivakumar claiming that he knows the reason behind the suicide attempt, Shobha said, "You disclose the information you know to the public of the state. Do not scare others with these kind of statements. Is there any plot of yours in this matter? First clarify what plot you have hatched against our leaders. Let us see what you have to say."

Fuming at the statement of former CM Siddaramaiah that Yediyurappa is mini Modi in telling lies, Shobha said, "We have seen the administration of Siddaramaiah, when he was the CM of Karnataka. You formed policies that divided communities. You made policies of breaking castes. You were more interested in creating rift among castes than development. You used the rice and wheat provided by Narendra Modi and said that I gave the Anna Bhagya scheme to the people of Karnataka. If there are any people, who are experts in lying, then they are Congress members. Lying is the nature of Congress. Siddaramaiah does not have future in Congress as well as other political parties. No one gives importance to his words."

Only 2 seats won by CONgress in coast was Ullala (Mangaluru North) and in Haliyal by RV Deshpande, rest 24 seats won by BJP including 2 seats coming under Kodagu and 4 under Shivamogga bordering UK. Actually CONgress is a complete washout in coastal districts

I thought you are a good politician. Now understood you are watchman. Rahul Gandhi goes to the church other time and during election he goes to temples. Shiv Kumar goes to temples during election times. Yes you know all in and out of all politicians.

The INC lost its citadel in the entire coastal belt of Karnataka..The reasons are pretty obvious... " Zero Development " The well educated youths had no opportunities for any form of livelihood... This pathetic conditions was prevalent since independence... The BJP invariably used this anger and capitalised it with religious fervor to banish and boot out the Congress !!!!!

Come on yaar! She has provided good governance. She is known for her work in her region. People have elected her and she has won.
Its high time you do a root cause analysis and introspect the reasons for rout of Congress in almost every state. That may help the revival a bit.
