‘Will spread awareness about coronavirus, not wear mask’ - Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik

Daijiworld Media Network - Bhatkal (SP)

Bhatkal, Dec 2: Everyone is now seen discussing about the masks. Many also are wearing matching masks. There are many who argue that wearing masks does not have any benefit. They claim that those who wore masks without break too have been afflicted by coronavirus infection while many believe that this can be the saviour of the people from the deadly corona.

As per the rules of the government and also to at least keep corona at bay to some extent at least, one has to wear masks. Not wearing of masks attracts heavy penalties. Masks also hep in shielding people from getting infection when sneezing, coughing or talking.

BJP MLA Sunil Naik, has now courted controversy by saying that he will not wear masks. He said that he will spread awareness about coronavirus without wearing mask.

Sunil, who represents Bhatkal constituency in the state assembly, speaking at a programme held here, asserted that he does not wear masks and that he creates awareness against coronavirus infection without wearing them.

His statement has come as a surprise as he himself had been a victim of this infection. He had suffered from corona infection in August and had been discharged after treatment.

I am a 99 year old person and I wish to comment that the observation made by MLA Mr. Sunil Naik may mislead people. However the world knows and the country is aware of the need for masks under the prevailing situation.

I appeal to all like minded people to protect themselves against the prevailing situation. THE GOVERNMENT HAS RULED THAT MASKS ARE AN ESSENTIAL NEED. Let us follow the GOOD ADVICE

You are right, Mr. Gonsslves. I wonder why these elected representatives of the people mislead the people when there are clear cut, well publicised guidelines set by the government.
